Camilo – Fuel Injected LA at the Thompson Beverley Hills – Sept 17th 2011

323East Gallery and 1xRUN Present Artist Camilo Pardo’s First Los Angeles Area Solo Exhibition to Benefit The Carroll Shelby Foundation.

Camilo Pardo, the internationally recognized designer behind the re-birth of the iconic Ford GT40 will be showcasing his latest creations at the Thompson Hotel September 17, 2011 in Beverly Hills California. Held at the Thompson Rooftop, this one-night-only exhibit gives friends and fans the chance to mingle with the artist while enjoying stunning skyline views high above Beverly Hills.

Partial proceeds of all artwork sold will go directly to The Carroll Shelby Children’s Foundation. Pardo and Shelby have a long history of working together. “He’s a great guy, wonderful friend, and a fabulous artist” said Shelby.

As chief designer in Ford Motor Company’s Living Legends Studio, Pardo led the development and design of the timeless GT40 concept. In 2005, the return of the legendary GT40 was realized with a limited production supercar, the GT. Fewer than 5,000 were produced and they continue to be highly sought after by celebrities and car enthusiasts across the globe.

Camilo’s artwork is best described as a fusion of pop, abstract and industrial rendering traditions, frequently incorporating familiar brands and logos. Most recently his artwork was highlighted in the June issue of Road & Track. As an accomplished artist Pardo’s work has been featured in galleries and shows worldwide, ranging from the walls of the Detroit Institute of Arts to the stages of the Paris Motor Show.

The Carroll Shelby Foundation™ is dedicated to providing financial support for children and medical professionals to help overcome life-threatening health issues worldwide and promoting continuing educational development.
